Track 1- overwhemled

So, deep into my seasonal depression I decided that the only way to really get through all of the feelings and emotions I was having was to write about it. I wrote a total of about 5 and a half songs and honestly 'overwhelmed' was the only one worth sharing.

In 2023/24 school year I was going through my first official year of being a licensed teacher (kindergarten) and my student teaching year was a rough one (the year before), I was all about making sure this school year was going to be a successful one. This meant my brain was hyper focused on every task possible to make sure the students in my class would have the best year ever. If you have been following my blog journey this far, you may know by now that I am not a stranger with the feeling of being overwhelmed, now add one of the most stressful work environments into the mix and you have the makings of a really good song, lol!

The state of being overwhelmed had become a big part in how I used to function in life and coming to that realization was a real process. Noticing that many of my decision were being made out of a reactive state and not an actual thought process had me living each day just to get through. So the true songwriter that I am said "I should write a song" and that is exactly what I did! I hope that this little sneak into my brain space at the time that I wrote this song shows through the lyrics. Thanks for reading them, taking them in and just relating to them in whatever way you need to.
